On the last day (17), the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment (MAA) delivered water infrastructures to the Fazenda unit in Praia. However, since yesterday (20) it is possible, in fact, to use it.
Fazenda da Esperança in the municipality of Praia, Cape Verde, has faced the problem of water shortages since 2018, the year of its inauguration. On the 17th, the Cape Verde Ministry of Agriculture and Environment (MAA) delivered part of the work, initially planned. However, the water had not yet reached the site.
Father Ronaldo Bernardo was the one who fought, during this period, for the problem to be solved. According to him, since yesterday (20), the work started to work as expected.
“We thank the MAA for all the effort to bring water to the farm, as well as all the people who contributed to this moment. God bless you all! Now we have the challenge of getting the plumbing to the houses and the vegetable garden. In addition to the costs of maintaining water, ”he said.
