In two decades of welcoming inmates who need help in the treatment of chemical and alcohol addiction, approximately 20 families have benefited from the activities of the Fazenda da Esperança
This Tuesday(28), homage was paid in the Legislative Assembly of the State of Amazonas (Aleam) to the Fazenda da Esperança, which currently receives 460 inmates in the male area and 40 women in the female area who seek recovery and find spirituality and health.
The state deputy, Sinésio Campos (PT), recalled that the farm is also present in other municipalities in the state, in total there are 8 units.
“Tefé, São Gabriel da Cachoeira, in other states of Brazil and also internationally. We have seen that Fazenda da Esperança rescues lives, young people and even adults, parents of families. There are even couples there who are families that accept to be reinserted in society”, highlights Sinésio.
According to the co-founder of Fazenda da Esperança Manaus, Dom Mário Pasqualotto, the moment was to pay homage to the inmates and remember that there is always hope in the fight against addiction.
“Every year we intend to honor our inmates starting from three years onwards. Everything we do to publicize the Farm is not to receive applause, but to let people know that if there is any problem with this type of dependency, there is a solution”, says Dom Mário.
Among the activities that are developed is the treatment of labor therapy, the recognition of work, in addition to coexistence and spiritual practices.
